Church-Key Brewing

John Graham, founder of Church-Key Brewing, started brewing 1989 in Aurora Ontario. Learning the basics of malt and hops, John went on to become a shift brewer and filter operator at Amsterdam Brewery in Toronto.

At Amsterdam John honed his skills working on a variety of brewing and filtering equipment. As well as being involved  the first major expansion at Amsterdam King and Portland location.

In 1999 John purchased an 1878 Methodist church in Campbellford Ontario and founded Church-Key Brewing Company.

John was a founding member of The Ontario Craft Brewers Association and remained active for several years and assisted in the federal excise tax lobby. John continues to operate Church-key as well as the Church-Key Pub and Grind House and has found balance between career endeavours and family life.
